Join MARC, regional experts and your peers to learn restoration best practices and the process of implementing multi-year projects. This workshop is designed for local government land management managers and staff including parks, public works and utilities, private landscape and restoration contractor companies, and environmental nonprofit managers & staff. Matt Garrett, Johnson County Parks & Recreation natural resources manager, and Ryan Bath, Habitat Architects conservation biologist will share restoration project management best practices for local government managers and contractors in a classroom setting.Attendees will then visit the Ernie Miller Park to view current site conditions and discuss restoration methods. Field experience will require walking approximately .75 miles on unstable, partially unpaved trails.
The site visit to Ernie Miller Park will be conducted via group shuttle. It is important that you register in advanced so that accommodations for the shuttle can be made.
