KC Regional Special Event Planning Forum

On behalf of the Regional Homeland Security Coordinating Committee (RHSCC), you are invited to participate in the KC Regional Special Event Planning Forum on Wednesday, April 1. This session will highlight best practices, available planning tools, and current regional coordination efforts supporting special events. 

Participants will learn about the updated Special Events Planning Toolkit, practical approaches for planning safe and successful events in their communities, and insights from experienced regional event planners, including partners involved in KC2026.

Target Audiences: Public Safety (Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, Emergency Management, Codes Officials, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Community Event Organizers)

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the Forum scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - Noon.
