Activating a Circular Economy

Description

The world revolves, and so should our stuff. A circular economy is one where production and consumption of goods involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible. We invite you once again to join us to discuss our changing circular economy, with special guest speakers Sami Aaron & Anne Melia of The Resilient Activist as they present topics relevant to every advocate: including examining and celebrating your efforts, reflecting and reimagining your efforts to lighten your load, and learning how to cultivate joy and beauty as a regular practice in your life. A discussion will follow about what can be done together instead of alone to build a circular economy here and now. Lunch will be provided and the event will wrap with an update on Circular KC.

  • 1:00-2:00 p.m.:    Celebration as Self-Care: Strengthening Resilience with Sami Aaron & Anne Melia of The Resilient Activist 
  • 2:00-2:45 p.m.:    Activation: What can we do together that we can't do alone? 
  • 2:45-3:00 p.m.:    Wrap up and thanks 
  • 3:00-4:00 p.m.:    Organizational time to plan for October 8 and beyond
