The region’s fifth Public Service Career Expo will take place Nov. 15, 2023, at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Missouri. This free, in-person event will allow middle and high-school students to explore high-demand and rewarding career opportunities in local government. Numerous cities and counties across the bistate region are co-sponsoring the expo, which will feature hands-on, interactive sessions on public sector jobs and information on internships, job shadow and volunteer opportunities.
Students will have the opportunity to explore careers in administration, information technology, fire/EMS, law enforcement, human services, public health, public works, and the trades.
For additional information visit the Public Service Career Expo website.
The event begins at 8:39 a.m. and concludes at 2:30 p.m. Arrival and departure times will be staggered based upon registration selections by the school. Schools should anticipate being onsite 2.5 hours to explore the career areas, that includes a 30-minute lunch.
