Explore MARC’s new Open Data Portal and discover how regional datasets, interactive maps, dashboards and stories can support planning, policy, research and community conversations across the Kansas City region.

This 30-minute virtual training will introduce participants to the portal’s key features, show how to search and navigate data by topic or format, and explain how the portal connects with other MARC data resources. Participants will learn why open data matters, what types of information are available, and how to use datasets, maps and data stories to better understand regional trends and support informed decision-making.

Whether you are a local government planner, GIS professional, researcher, community partner or resident interested in regional insights, this session will help you get comfortable finding the data you need and applying it in your work.
