ICS 400: Advanced Incident Command System for Complex Incidents

Description

The ICS-400 is a two-day course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 Intermediate ICS courses, which are prerequisites for the ICS-400 course.

Course Objectives:
Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.
Describe the circumstances in which an area command is established.
Describe the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established

Pre-Requisites: Successful completion of accredited ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-700, and ICS-800 courses. State and local first responder senior personnel. Individuals must have their agency support to attend this Advanced level course.


Target Audience: State and local first responder senior personnel who are assigned to and expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-Agency Coordination Entity. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Please be advised registration is reserved for emergency services personnel in the nine-county Kansas City metropolitan area: Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri and Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas. Travel costs are not provided.

Lunch and refreshments are on your own each day.
