Regional Data Academy Certificate Program

January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024

Description

The Regional Data Academy Certificate Program is designed for public sector employees to develop the tools and skills to use data to inform decisions. The program is delivered through MARC’s Government Training Institute (GTI), a proven leader in offering training and development of the highest quality to meet government workforce development needs, and regional higher education partners with offerings that support both technical and non-technical data and technology training and education.

You can earn your Regional Data Academy certificate through technical or data leadership courses (taken through GTI, through a regional higher education partner or a combination).

Required Data Academy Courses: (Included in your Academy Enrollment)

  • Introduction to Data (on demand)
  • Data Storytelling (on demand)
  • Data Visualization (on demand)
  • Final Presentation/Feedback Session (Professional Panel)

Select one additional data course (elective) of your choice from the following:

  • Access Levels 1, 2 or 3 (virtual in-person through LANTEC)
  • Excel Dashboard (virtual in-person through LANTEC)
  • Excel Levels 1, 2 or 3 (virtual in-person through LANTEC)
  • Excel Advanced Data Analysis with Pivot Tables & PowerPivot (virtual in-person through LANTEC)
  • Tableau Desktop 1 (virtual in-person through LANTEC) - upcharge of $550
  • Tableau Desktop 2 (virtual in-person through LANTEC) - upcharge of $550


Higher Education Partner Courses 

Participants have the option of taking a higher education course in place of the elective and one of the following required courses: Data Storytelling or Data Visualization. Participants will receive a credit of $150/course if they choose to complete these requirements through a higher education course.

This is a self paced online class.  You will be invited to live events and discussions.  See course calendar for dates and times.

GTI Members = $775

Non-Members = $915

Price includes the four required Data Academy courses and one data elective through LANTEC (unless upcharge fee is noted above).
