Description

The First Suburbs Coalition meeting will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Parkville City Hall, 8880 Clark Avenue, Parkville, MO 64152. 

The meeting will be held in the Board Room/Municipal Room on the first floor of City Hall.

A light breakfast will be served during networking at 8:00 a.m., with the program from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. 

There is no cost for this event, but your registration to attend is requested. 

It’s a Two-Way Street: Incorporating an “Age Lens” into Your Work with Consultant Teams

Communities for All Ages is a regional, age-friendly city initiative that provides technical assistance, recognition and education to local governments in the region that have taken meaningful steps to become more inclusive of residents of all ages. The Gold Level (the highest level of recognition) requires a community to apply an “age lens” to a major planning document. As most communities use consulting firms to develop their planning and visioning documents, this interactive discussion will explore how the city-consultant relationship can work to ensure aging is meaningfully incorporated into this process. It will highlight best practices, challenges, and showcase local examples.

Time

Networking and continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. 

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 10 a.m.
