2026 CHW Appreciation Week Open House and Celebration

You’re invited to attend a special Open House on Friday, Aug. 27, to celebrate Community Health Work Appreciation Week! 

 

The event will be held at KC Meal Link located at 1218 Swift Street in North Kansas City, Missouri from 9-11 a.m. All community health workers, allies and advocates are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. 


Join us for:

  • KC Regional Collaborative: Learn about the regional collaborative's recent work and accomplishments. 
  • Socializing and networking: Connect or reconnect with other community health worker professionals.
  • Resource sharing: Bring resources and/or materials to share. Space will be available for your materials.
  • Storytelling: Share about the work you’ve done this past year to help the community and your clients. Submit your CHW Success Story online! 
  • Opportunity sharing: Share volunteer, internship and employment opportunities that you’re aware of. 
  • Future of CHWs: Take part in a facilitated discussion on the expanding role of CHWs in public health.
