Dementia-friendly communities and Dementia simulator workshop Experience the Challenge: 

A Workshop on Living with Dementia and Designing Accessible Communities

When: Monday, July 21st, 2025, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. 

Where: Mid-America Regional Council, 600 Broadway Blvd, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64105 

This in-person workshop will provide: 

•An overview of the core elements of dementia-friendly communities, including strategies for local governments.
•Tips for recognizing and understanding the warning signs of dementia and resources for referrals.
•A simulated dementia experience to better understand the challenges of individuals living with the disease.
